About The Event
Camp Description: How do aquatic insects of the Clark Fork River fit into the larger river food web? Why are decomposers so important anyway? What is the real story behind the relationship between spiders and humans? During our Ecology Experiments Bug Camp we’ll tackle these questions and more as we play, explore and create to learn. We’ll conduct experiments and let our very own live Bug Ambassadors teach us about habitats, food chains and more. Each day we’ll go on a bug hunt around the river front trails of downtown Missoula and hold live Bug Ambassadors.
Dates and Times: Please note that our camps meet from 9am - 4pm each day for the week of 6/18. Pick up and drop off will be in the Insectarium Classroom.
Location: We will meet for drop off and pick up in the classroom of the Insectarium. At 218 E. Front street enter through the main foyer/lobby of the building and up the stairs to the second floor. You'll immediately turn right, go through a door and then a quick right again to go down a longer hallway. Our door to the classroom will be on the left.
Lunch: Parents will be asked to send along a lunch and small afternoon snack. In awareness of potential allergy issues and respect for parents dietary choices we don't allow kids to share or trade snacks at lunch or in the afternoon.
